It’ll take some time to sieve through all the offerings but trust us, when you do find something good, it’s really good.

Tanglin Mega Family Store
The Tanglin Mega Family Store, officially opened in 2015, is not only a mega thrift store but also a Family Hub that is built for the community. With its multi-purpose hall, sound-proof rooms as well as its beautiful garden, Tanglin Mega Family Store does not only offer a delightful shopping experience for the public; its main centre, Tanglin Family Hub, lends a wholesome experience for every visitor.

Hope Centre Family Store
It seems 2015 was a huge year for The Salvation Army. Apart from Tanglin Family Hub’s official opening, it was also Hope Centre Family Store’s 15th anniversary! With 15 years of exchange of goods and inventory (Bukit Merah Family Store has 20 years though), Hope Centre Family Store offers a unique thrift-shopping experience you’ll never gain from your typical retail store. Expect to find vintage goods and other oldie goodies!

Bukit Merah Family Store
While Hope Centre Family Store has only crossed its 15-year mark, Bukit Merah Family Store, however, is at its 20th year. Similar to regular retail stores, The Salvation Army runs promotions on its thrift stores pretty frequently. Its promotions, however, are unlike those you’ve encountered – eg. $10 minimum purchases that gives you up to 30% electronic discounts, and a $10 shopping voucher with every 5kg of donated items.

IMH Pick & Choose Store
Located in Buangkok, the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) isn’t just an infirmary and care centre for mental health patients, inside lies The Salvation Army’s Pick & Choose Store, a thrift shop that’s catered to the Hougang neighbourhood. The Salvation Army also supports a work therapy programme to help IMH’s clients gain work experience at the store, which helps them ease into the mainstream workforce.
