Ms. Marvel is the name of several fictional superheroes appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was originally conceived as a female counterpart to Captain Marvel. Like Captain Marvel, most of the bearers of the Ms. Marvel title gain their powers through Kree technology or genetics. Marvel has published four ongoing comic series titled Ms. Marvel, with the first two starring Carol Danvers and the third and fourth starring Kamala Khan. Ms. Marvel was the highest ranked female character on IGN’s Top Avengers list, coming in at #11. (Source from Wikipedia)

Ms. Marvel is an American television miniseries created by Bisha K. Ali for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics featuring the character Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel. It is the seventh television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced by Marvel Studios, sharing continuity with the films of the franchise. Ali serves as head writer with Adil & Bilall (Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah) leading the directing team. Ms. Marvel premiered on June 8, 2022, and will consist of six episodes, concluding on July 13. It is part of Phase Four of the MCU. The series will serve as set-up for the film The Marvels (2023), in which Vellani will reprise her role as Khan along with additional cast members from the series. The series received positive reviews, with particular praise for Vellani’s performance.

episode 1 - "Generation Why"

Kamala Khan is a 16-year-old high schooler and fangirl of the Avengers, particularly Captain Marvel. After failing another driving test and meeting with school counselor Gabe Wilson, Kamala and her best friend Bruno Carrelli finish her Captain Marvel cosplay for “AvengerCon” while avoiding her strict parents, Yusuf and Muneeba. Kamala receives a package of items from her grandmother, including a golden bangle, but Muneeba sees it as junk. After failing to convince her parents to let her go to AvengerCon, Kamala and Bruno sneak out and attend anyway, taking the bangle as part of her cosplay. After getting there and dressing up, she puts it on, but it causes her to project constructs of cosmic energy, inadvertently causing havoc. Amidst the chaos, Kamala manages to use her powers to save her classmate Zoe Zimmer from falling. Bruno rushes Kamala home, where a distraught Muneeba pleads with her to focus on her own story. In a mid-credits scene, Department of Damage Control (DODC) agents P. Cleary and Sadie Deever watch a video of Kamala’s incident at AvengerCon and head to New Jersey to find and detain her.

episode 2 - "Crushed"

Kamala begins training to control her powers with Bruno’s help; the latter deduces that the bangle activated Kamala’s powers, which came from within her. Dissatisfied with the male-dominated leadership of their Mosque Board, Kamala’s friend Nakia Bahadir decides to stand for elections. Kamala, Nakia, and Bruno attend a party organized by Zoe, where they meet Kamran, a new British-Pakistani senior at school. The party is cut short by the police, but Kamala manages to make friends with Kamran. Bruno becomes frustrated when Kamala, infatuated with Kamran, chooses to spend time with him instead of training. After having a vision of a mysterious woman and blacking out during a family dinner, Kamala asks her grandmother Sana and Muneeba about Kamala’s great-grandmother Aisha, the original owner of the bangle, but both dismiss her. Yusuf says that young Sana had lost her way in the violence of the Partition of India, but was able to find her father almost mysteriously. After questioning Zoe about her savior at AvengerCon, Cleary and Deever order a sweep around the tri-state area, targeting South Asian communities. At the annual Eid Al-Adha celebration, a young boy named Hameed slips from a balcony and almost falls before Kamala rescues him using her powers. She momentarily falters after having another vision of the woman. DODC agents led by Deever attempt to apprehend Kamala, but Kamran helps her escape in his car. He then introduces Kamala to his mother Najma, the same woman from her vision.
